Hotels, resorts and luxury properties live on images: they are the first thing guests look at on the website, booking portals and social media. Here I answer the questions general managers, revenue managers and marketing managers ask me most often before organising a photo and video shoot. I am Andrea Sartore, a photographer and videographer with more than 19 years of experience, and I lead a team of photographers and videographers, including my wife Daniela.
What photo and video services do you offer hotels and resorts?
I photograph rooms and suites, common areas, lobby, pool, spa, restaurant and dishes, gardens and exteriors, with day and night shots. How is the shoot organised without disturbing guests?
Before the shoot we agree a schedule with the property: free rooms to photograph, times when the pool and common areas are quieter, the right moment for the restaurant. We work discreetly, with compact equipment, and if people are needed in the photos we use models or staff who have given consent.
How long does a hotel photo shoot take?
It depends on the number of spaces and the type of content required. A small property is usually photographed in one day; a resort with several areas, food and video may take several days. We define it together at the quote stage.
Do you also shoot drone footage?
Yes. Aerial footage shows location, panorama, pool and gardens like no shot from the ground. Flights comply with ENAC rules and any local restrictions, which we check before the shoot.
Are the photos suitable for the website, Booking, Airbnb and social media?

Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Turin and often work in Piedmont, but we travel all over Italy. We have no studio of our own: the shoot always takes place on location, at your property.
What are the delivery times?
Times depend on the number of photos and videos and the post-production required. We agree them before the shoot, so you know in advance when you will have the material for your website and campaigns.
